Donate online from December 4-17 at  www.feedwashington.org/ holidayhungercampaign Did you know there are a projected 36 students at Twain who are food-insecure and go hungry over the weekends?  The Pantry Packs program, powered by the Lake Washington Schools Foundation, is a volunteer-run food assistance program that provides weekend food for our hungry students.  Over the years, it has grown to serve 43 schools in Lake Washington School District. As the district grows, so does the need.   Walk to School week This year, Walk to School Week will be October 2nd-October 6th.  Now an international program, Walk to School Week encourages the practice of safe walking habits, daily exercise and limiting short car trips. Students and parents are encouraged to walk one or every day this week. As a reward, the PTSA will pass out a small gift to walkers and enter their name into a raffle. Explore Art program is a PTSA funded art program for kids. Its purpose is to teach the kids about the basics of color, gradient, surrealism and other art concepts in a fun and different way.  Parents volunteers (Docents) teach and guide the art projects during school hours once a month.
