 The nominating committee has confirmed that all nominees have been a member of a PTA for at least 15 days prior to the election and meet other requirements as stated in the Washington State PTA Uniform Bylaws.

 

 


~ Spring 2018 After School Programs - Now Enrolling ~

Drama Kids International

Mark Twain PTSA is happy to announce Drama Kids is BACK for another awesome Winter/Spring session! During this session, students will work together to produce an exciting end-of-the-year Spring Production! Each child gets to be a STAR! Drama Kids helps kids gain confidence, vocal skills, teamwork, leadership, creative problem solving, and so many more key life skills! Returning students will find exciting, new challenges, and new students will learn the basics in a welcoming, team-oriented atmosphere. The special Spring Production will be held at a professional theater in the 1st or 2nd weekend of JUNE, exact dates will be determined during the session. Don't miss this exciting and DRAMATIC class! ENROLL through Mark Twain PTSA. 

Grades K-5  

Dates: Fall session - Mondays, April 16, 2018 - June 11, 2018 - excluding Monday, May 28, 2018  

(8-week session)

Time: 3:00-4:45

Chess4Life

Mark Twain PTSA is teaming up with Chess4Life to offer a fun and instructional chess club!  

Classes are tailored to the skill-level of the students. In addition to learning the basic rules of chess, our classes include lessons on fundamental opening principles, middlegame tactics and strategy, as well as basic endgame technique. 

Coaches also work with students in other areas like visualization, preparing for tournament competition, board habits, and much more. 

Grades K-5 

Dates: Spring Session -  Tuesdays, April 24, 2018 - June 12, 2018 ( 8-week Session)

Time: 3:00-4:30 

Location: Cafeteria

Play-Well TEKnologies - LEGO Club

Mark Twain PTSA is teaming up with Play-Well TEKnologies to offer LEGO club.  

STEM FUNdamentals LEGO K-5 

Let your imagination run wild with then of thousands of LEGO! Build engineer-designed projects such as boats, bridges, mazes and motorized cars, and use special pieces to create your own unique design! Explore the endless creative possibilities of the LEGO building system with the guidance of and experienced Play-Well instructor.  This is an ideal way to prepare young builders for the challenge of EngineeringFUNdamentals.   

Power up your engineering skills with Play-Well TEKnologies and tens of thousands of LEGO! Apply real-world concepts in physics, engineering, and architecture through engineer-designed projects such as arch bridges, skyscrapers, motorized cars, and the Battletrack! Design and build as never before, and explore your craziest ideas in a supportive environment.  Instructors with challenge new and returning students to engineer at the next level.  

Grades: K-5   

Dates: Spring - Thursdays, May 3, 2018 - June 14, 2018 excluding May 31, 2048

Hot Dog USA - Jump Rope Club

Have fun learning jump rope tricks and games with instructors from local jump rope team, Hot Dog USA! Jumpers of all ages and ability are welcome. This is an extremely popular class that fills up quickly, so register soon online at twainptsa.org

Friday night, April 27, 2018


Come and show your unique talent at TWAIN’S GOT TALENT!  Sign up today and show your family and friends how you can dance, sing, play an instrument, juggle, perform gymnastics, etc. Have fun with a solo or join your friends for a group performance (limit one performance per student). 
 
Registration forms are available in the office or can be downloaded here, and must be returned to the front office by Wednesday March 14.
